Talented but misguided.

When the line "I'm as happy as I can be" is delivered, it doesn't come across that way, it has a sneer to it with an underlying disappointment and you start to wonder if Remi Nicole is really as rock n roll as she would like people to think.

Just because she prefers rock n roll doesn't mean that Remi Nicole is great at it. This writer has a love for rock n roll but his previous bands and song writing attempts would suggest that there is a lack of talent in the area and this song doesn't triumph at any point. Sounding more like a polished pop track as opposed to being born out of a genuine love for the music, this is no more than a piece of inconsequential fluff to fill some space on MTV2 between a Biffy Clyro live performance and some old indie stars reality TV show.

The break-down section near the end comes direct from the Sugababes style of musical interludes and it sticks out like a sore thumb at this moment.

Ms. Nicole states that it was a love for Oasis that turned her onto music and the music she plays is all down to that first wave of influence. If that's the case, she should heed the line "You've got to be yourself, you can't be no one else" as this track is no more rock n roll that KT Tunstall. That's not a criticism but it is an indicator that what the artist hears in her head is not what comes across in the recorded output.
