No, stay with me a moment, hear me out. Yes, I said Hayseed Dixie, as in the bluegrass rock n’ roll group who specialise in alternative versions of classic rock songs. Yes, your Dad probably listens to them. So what? It’s great fun, and a cure for all those miserable balladeers in the charts.
‘Bouncing Betty Boogie’ is a simple sort of song. Unmistakably Dixie, it starts with a catchy banjo riff that you’d probably say was genius if it was played on guitar.
