Lilygun - Diamonds
Up and coming London trio Lilygun release Diamonds a soulful alternative rock song. The single appears to be released directly by the band themselves.
Singer, guitarist and songwriter Anna-Christina shows of her vocal prowess through out the song from the slow starting then building up to the heavier chorus. Intelligent, thoughtful lyrics do help to make this become a nice song to listen to you when you are in the need for a bit of mood swinging indie takes on grunge metal music. There is even a hint of Smashing Pumpkins mid way through the song.
With Piranha on bass and Adam Busiakewicz on guitars backing the impressive Anna-Christina up it sounds like Lilygun could easily make a name for themselves and not just in the capital.
The song is well written and all fits perfectly together, so much so it is very easy to picture this song being used for an emotional moment from a movie.
