The Thirst - My Everything
The Thirst is a band highly recommended for the coming few months. They hail from Brixton, London, an area known for its violence and roughness, but have done something wonderful with their experiences and creativity.
Taken from their debut album ‘On The Brink’, the lads combine their Afro-Caribbean upbringings and punk influences to make a jumpy guitar-strumming tune that with the drum rolls; you are hooked on ‘My Everything’ instantly.
Admittedly this is not the most appealing track from the album but a great track nevertheless. It has incredible vocal side from Mensah Cofie-Agyeman who also plays guitar, while with his brother Kwame on bass and mates Marcus on drums and Mark on guitar my entire body tingles with excitement over the potential this young group of lads has buried within.
