Here Comes The Man

South Africa’s biggest export is the remarkably talented Parlotones. This acoustic settled tune is one that has everyone has been raving about and now I have heard it; I can now see what all the fuss is regarding.

This is an incredibly bouncy indie song that seems to settle upon a listener and take them over. Even with the acoustic start and ending, the centre of this four-minute tune is pure indie rock to the heart. I’m not sure why but I expected a little humour within the lyrics after the opening, well that never came. What did appear was an amazing guitar rhythm, something energetic and bubbly while the guitars ripple along the chorus. The central chorus at one point is beautifully calm with a piano central beat, which gathers energy to an energetic ending.

Singer and songwriter, Kahn Morbee is about to grasp the world with this new single, and planning a new album for early next year.
