A song with attitude
It took me a while to figure out how amazing the name of the band is in relation this song. Lead singer Megan Thomas, that’s where the first part of the band name derivers from I assume, has a demanding voice. When she is singing about her demands and how fabulous she is in lines such as “I’m such the expert” and “if I step outside I need a drum roll” she makes a listener actually believe she is the spoilt brat she is singing about.
The indie pop twist Thomas Tantrum formulates sounds like something that is going to be pursuing ears all over the airwaves. ‘Work It’ is a straightforward tune that requires you to listen and take note of the simplicity and demands of the singer. It is full of bouncy atmospheric slinks that are quite grasping.
