An interesting oddball number...
Northampton based band All New Adventures Of Us are a seven piece band loaded with a hidden subconscious rope to wrap you up in this tune.
As this first song came to play, I thought a nice upbeat number. It has the brass segments, which makes it sound a little different to other singles and stand out. It begins as a really bouncy indie tune. The vocals are stationary and ineffective but the music sounds fine. Then I came to realise how incredibly odd this song sounds. Its indie with a difference, having the basic bouncy guitars with added moments of a spaced out sensation.
For some unknown and bizarre reason the only thing that really stuck in my mind once this tune had finished was the lines “and I left you sleeping with an address by your bed, coz no one writes real letters anymore”.
