Their finest song

This thunderous new single from quartet Boys Like Girls is possibly their most amazing material. I recently saw the guys play Wembley when they were the main support for Fall Out Boy. This track was one of their most memorable tunes that night, and remains a very scrumptious number now it has been released.

Whether you are a lover of upbeat indie rock, alternative anthems or hard-core melodies, you are still likely to find some affection for 'Thunder’. The song was originally released acoustically, before appearing on the band's debut album, therefore a few acoustic attributes remain. Think of ‘Thunder’ as a ballad with gentle vocals, while giving a punch. It opens to an acoustic guitar, but plays on these ballad characteristics to create a powerfully driven anthem that with strong guitars; vocal combinations and written words to create a remarkable song with a climatic conclusion.

I have become smitten with ‘Thunder’ and believe it to be some of the bands finest work - energetic while emotional.
