Sweet folk
‘When Harry Met Charlie’ is an upbeat, charming and sweet folk tune with a lovely melody; gentle, uncluttered instrumentation and clean production bathes you in a warm summery glow and the story behind the lyrics (about Harriet the oldest Tortoise in the world who died in 2006 at age 176) is told in a wistful and interesting way with great vocals by front man Findlay Napier. This is a great tune, not doing anything particularly different but nicely played and the lyrics make it more interesting. Track two, ‘Out All Night’ has a nice dub spin, which helps it take on a dreamy night time feel and is a pleasant addition to this single.
