Even in a career as expansive and conquering as theirs, there are still brand new areas and avenues to explore for the mighty Slipknot. In December 2015 the band descended on Mexico City for the first time and in celebration of both the event and the fervent reception received by the fans there, the whole experience has been documented in a feature length film entitled Day Of The Gusano. Directed by <. Shawn Crahan (Clown), the 90 minute documentary features exclusive interviews with the band as well as some real fly on the wall shots of the band both travelling the city and backstage at the show.

Chatting about the film Clown stated, "SLIPKNOT still has dreams for itself. Finally playing Mexico was one of them. It's been a surreal life of rock and roll for SLIPKNOT and the fact that the dreams still go on for us is simply incredible. Thank you.".

Adding to this, guitarist Jim Root echoed Clown's excitement, "We had such a great time at Knotfest Mexico... Not only with all the friends and bands that were there, but with the fans and the crowd we had to document it with. Now we get to share it with the world."

Day Of The Gusano is set for a one-day cinematic release on 6th September 2017. Sign up for info on your local screenings at http://dayofthegusano.com/. Of course keep your eyes peeled on http://www.slipknot1.com/ for any further updates as well.
