Wolfmother have swept the board at the Australian equivalent of the Brit Awards.

The band picked up four prizes at the Australian Recording Industry Awards on Sunday night.

They picked up best breakthrough act, rock album of the year and best group as well as artist of the year which is voted on by members of the public.

The band are to head out on yet another world tour before the year is out, playing dates in Europe and the USA.

They'll also perform at the televised induction of Led Zeppelin into the UK Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The band's self-titled album has sold over 800,000 copies worldwide so far this year.
