The Crimea have announced the release date and title for their new album.

'Secrets Of The Witching Hour' will be released on May 13.

Lead by the madcap and slightly deranged lead singer Davey Macmanus, who along with drummer Owen Hopkin, were former members of the now defunct band, The Crocketts, The Crimea have slowly risen up within the music industry. Having played a well-received tour last year on the back of their debut album, 'Tragedy Rocks' (which was featured in our pick of the best albums in 2005), the five-piece Alt.Rockers are hoping for more of the same in 2007.

The Crimea will also play as a resident band at Proud Gallery, Stables Market, Camden for 4 nights. For dates and tickets are available from

Anyone who collects all four tickets and posts them to:

The Crimea
Out There Management
120-124 Curtain Road
London

will receive a free copy of the new album, signed by the band.

A full UK tour is to be announced soon.
