Editors have returned at the top tonight (July 1) as 'An End Has A Start' went straight in at number 1 in the album chart.

The Glastonbury effect has been felt by two in the top ten, with Shirley Bassey new at 6 with 'Get The Party Started' and Killers 'Sam's Town climbing twenty-five places to 9.

Arctic Monkeys, Fratellis, Klaxons and Mika, who also played Glasto last week, have too enjoyed increased album sales inside the top twenty.

Other new entries of note include Ryan Adams 'Easy Tiger' at 18 and 'Riot' from Paramore at 24.

The top ten in the singles chart is dominated by new British acts, with Kate nash at 2, The Enemy at 4, Hoosiers new at 6 and Jack Penate a massive climber to 7.

Calvin Harris and Reverend and the Makers also feature at 9 and 10 respectively. Rihanna is still at the top.

New entries lower down include Cherry Ghosts at 27, Scouting for Girls at 31, Bon Jovi at 33 and Wombats two places lower at 35.
