System of a Down’s Serj Tankian is to release a special CD/DVD package in March.
‘Elect the Dead Symphony’ will feature Tankian’s performance at Auckland’s Town Hall in New Zealand where he performed and recorded orchestral interpretations of his acclaimed solo album ‘Elect the Dead’.
Joined by Auckland’s Philharmonic Orchestra, Tankian promises that “the arrangements are quite different to those on the record, including bonus tracks never played live”.
The DVD will also include rare and intimate backstage footage, as well as one-on-one interviews with Tankian and various members of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra.
