Former Alice in Chains band member Mike Starr has died at the age of 44.
The bass player was found dead in a house in Salt Lake City, Utah yesterday (March 8).
He was found by police after a call to emergency services informing of his death.
Starr struggled with drug addiction throughout his career and appeared on reality show Celebrity Rehab last year. Leaving Alice in Chains in 1993, he was believed to have been putting together a new band before his death.
The official cause of death has not yet been confirmed.
