Emanuwhat?
Emanuel are a four piece from Louisville Kentucky that give us an interesting mix of songs, loud and quite intense in places, yet melodic and tuneful in others. The sound isn't great and some of the riffs unfortunately get lost in the mix. They get a decent reaction all the same and the crowd appreciate the fact that singer Matt Breen says they 'kick the shit out of Reading!'.
Decent harmonies come through but as with a few other bands this weekend, when the sound isn't so good it's hard to pick the tunes out and whilst they are enthusiastic performers the jury is out. A couple of songs do come through better and show definite promise so go out and buy a single or check them out back in the UK in September, hear them how they're meant to sound!
By the time they leave the crowd has swelled significantly but that could be due to the imminent arrival of Million Dead?
