Flying solo
Playing the smallest tent early in the evening can be a problem and Emma Pollock certainly had one of the smallest crowds for the time of day. Those who did take the time to go and see her were rewarded with an impressive collection of melodic rock tracks.
Her new album is due next month, and forth-coming single 'Acid Test' got a good reaction from the Virgin Mobile Sessions Tent crowd.
'Paper & Glue' and 'Adrenaline' also went down well, with the downbeat 'Optimist' rounding off the set well and providing a powerful climax.
Emma Pollock always stood out as a great singer in the Delgados, now that the focus is very much on her she is definitely rising to the occasion.
