Attack! Attack! play the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire

O2 Shepherds Bush Empire could be one of the largest venues Attack! Attack! has ever had the pleasure of playing and they do it like professionals.

The opening of a gig is the initial impact and what could really make your set shine or fall. For Attack! Attack! the opening tune of this particular set was explosive, incredibly intense and so breathtaking that your chest could have imploded. As for the remainder of their set, they never let it slip in a downward spiral.

As well as the delicious ‘Honesty’, the lads were capable of belting out hits such as the moderate yet intensified ‘From Now On’ as well as the lively ‘Say It To Me’ and ‘You and Me’. When performing the latter, the initial support band Twenty Twenty joined them on stage, creating a performance that was bursting with enthusiasm and ambition, not to mention friendship; the lads have obviously bonded well on tour.

Praise must be given to vocalist/guitarists Neil Starr and Ryan Day as considering both were unwell (with so-called Welsh Flu), they gave it their best and it was more than good enough. For those that had never been witness to these guys performing previously, they would probably have thought it a little rough around the edges and quite gruff. However, for someone who has seen these guys rise to the top of their game and improve such a great deal over the last year, their bad health was detectable yet not the cause of any downfall in their performance. This was a job well done and one to be proud of.
