The Underworld gets a taste of The Friday Night Boys

Co-headlining this short UK tour alongside the magnificent There For Tomorrow was undoubtedly a good decision for Virginia based quartet The Friday Night Boys.

Heading across to out neck of the woods the pop punk foursome were a pleasure to see strut their stuff at the Underworld in Camden. Packed full of high-energy melodies and sing along choruses, these guys gave the London crowd a night to remember. Lead vocalist and guitarist Andrew Goldstein has one of those voices you can not help but be intrigued by and want to listen to more of, much like that of fellow American singer Bryce Avery (The Rocket Summer). He draws in the crowd with his talented tongue and then knocks you for six with the amazing music.

When it comes to the crowd surfing that some people find so amusing, the band seemed bewildered by it, much like their fellow American’s There For Tomorrow. They each took turns to look around as if asking, “What the heck is going on” and in the end just went with the flow. One thing for certain is that The Friday Night Boys is a band to keep an eye out for when they next land on UK shores.
