Do yourself a favour and check this band out immediately

Next up came a band invited as very special guests for only one or two shows on this tour and on the evidence of Turbowolf's performance tonight you can see why, in a word, brilliant. Their set list was understandably a bit shorter because by now time was really being pushed to ensure everything was done in time for the strict early curfew, but it just felt like a travesty that Brutality Will Prevail played as long as they did (despite officially being part of the whole tour) with Turbowolf effectively having to rush their way through. Turbowolf have worked tirelessly on the local live scene, and their efforts have certainly paid off tonight in subbing Cancer Bats, and they really showed their appreciation for how big of a deal this was to them. Musically, it's quite hard to nail down a definition because they show off such an array of influences. They're heavy, fun, exciting and different all at the same time and something that was clear as soon as they hit the stage, is the fact that they are really starting to build a strong fan base. These weren't just people standing waiting for tonight's headliners, Turbowolf in their own right stirred the crowd into an absolute frenzy right from the off.

One of the band's stand-out performers on the night was the new bassist; pocket sized Lianna Davies, whose thunderous tone became the spine of show, and her stage presence and interaction with the other band members showed that she already has a great connection. But of course the star of the show is front man Chris Georgiadis whose energetic and engaging approach is something to be admired; a lot of other front men could take note.

The biggest reaction from the set came as the band exploded into A Rose For The Crows, with its catchy riff creating absolute bedlam across the KOKO's intimate floor. Along with this, Turbowolf treat the crowd to some new tracks which slot effortlessly into the set list and sound amazing. Overall then, Turbowolf tonight have made a massive impression and are almost certainly heading for bigger things in the near future. They're here for a good time.
