One Man Band
NYCs Winger were a big deal in the late 80s and early 90s, scoring platinum sales with their first two albums no less and whilst they still get together sporadically to tour and record, today it's just front man Kip Winger up there.

Kip is the first artist to play solo (and acoustic) at HRH AOR. I saw him six years ago when he just brought out Songs From The Ocean Floor and I swear that this set was identical to that one. I was mesmerized then, as I was today.

It takes some balls getting up there on your own as there's nowhere to hide. Talking of which I feel sorry for the guy who got up to sing Miles Away and only knew the words ...Miles Away, and when asked, stated he could sing, and sing in tune. He did neither, oh deary me!
I'd have loved to have seen a full blown electric version of Winger, but I think a certain pair from MTV put paid to that notion years ago.
Kip certainly is talented, has a great voice and was a welcome addition to the HRH AOR line up
