I'm sure that for most people they'd say that it's tea or real chocolate that makes Britain great or maybe a standard kebab and a bag of chips, real British! But for me what makes Britain great is the talent that comes out of it! Talent that ironically you won't find on Britain's Got Talent but let's not get into that.
We have some of the greatest artists emerge out of our little country; Don Broco, Mallory Knox, We Are the Ocean, While She Sleeps, The Blackout (Welsh but ya know [um, the Welsh are still British -ed]) If only there was one awesome festival where all these bands were getting together to kick ass!...Oh wait there is! Takedown Festival 2013!
Yes the Southampton festival is back again. Last year we had Skindred, Deaf Havana, Blitz Kids, Bury Tomorrow and more!
Joining the already mentioned artists will be Dance Gavin Dance, Your Demise, Sonic Boom Six, Tesseract, Hacktivist, The James Cleaver Quintet and loads more!
This festival showcases the best breakthrough bands of previous years and also offers smaller bands to get a little bit of limelight. Also for you guys always looking out for the next big thing then go check out We are Fiction and Hey Vanity, they are definitely on my list!
If you enjoy good music then this is definitely the place for you! Also if you live far away then it's an excuse for an epic road trip with your mates to Southampton. This should be one to remember.
