It was a few months ago now when Red Bull launched the opportunity to bands across the country to play at this years Download Festival on the Red Studios Live stage. After many months of voting and judges decisions and all sorts, the final 8 has been reached, and all have well and truly earned their spot on the line up. The top six made it through public votes, with a further two wildcards chosen by the judges. So here is your guide to the winners, make sure you try and squeeze them into your day at the festival!
They Say Fall
Post-hardcore five piece ended up with the highest amount of votes in the competition, and for good reason. The band's latest release Enigma is out now.
Chasing Cadence
Another 5 piece band here, whose recently released EP Pages is beginning to make all the right impressions. If you want a dose of new alternative rock, head over to their set!

Forming in 2011, this alternative Metal band are well and truly on the rise, and will likely grasp the opportunity at Download with fervent enthusiasm.
Breathe In The Silence
Hailing from South Wales, this post-hardcore unit released their debut EP last month, and what better way to celebrate than playing a set at Download Festival!
Life On Standby
The Scottish alternative rock scene has spawned a lot of bands in recent and Life On Standby could well be the next big hitters on the factory line. EP Masquerade is available now.

This four piece Alternative Rock band blend heavy riffs with soaring smooth vocals and boast a strong YouTube following. Well worth checking out.
Create To Inspire
They've certainly won the award for the most inspirational name in the competition, and as the first of two wildcards there is certainly something special with this London based Melodic Hardcore band.
Chinese Missy
Raw rock n' roll four piece was the second wildcard chosen and they'll certainly deliver a performance full of confidence and swagger.
