Blind Jackson

The Blind Jackson were only there as a supporting act but considering the band that was headlining… one could have asked himself if a mistake hasn’t been made.

The sextet offered us a great moment of pure British old-school sound. They were playing simple music with simple melodies, real instruments and all these elements mixed together created a great gig.

Their beautiful tunes are refreshing and you can easily compare them to the bands that are at the top of the charts nowadays, like The Killers or Franz Ferdinand. Why? Purely because they keep it simple, they don’t try to do too much and that will probably help them to get to the top.

Once you’ve listened to their songs, you just feel good and relaxed. And what they achieved yesterday was just brilliant: being on the bill with heavy / metal bands must have been quite striking. But that’s when you see that those guys have talent: the crowd was there and supported them all along!

If you don’t have it yet, just go and get their mini-album or even better, just go and see them playing live!

Here are their next dates:
• Saturday 20th Feb.: Stoke on Trent @ The Talbot Hotel,
• Thursday 24th Feb.: St Albans @ The Horn
• Friday 25th Feb. : Bedford @ Esquires
