The Dirty Great at Silkfest
The Dirty Great are a 4-piece band that experiment in metal, hardcore and some other random genres like funk to create a sound that cannot be related to any other band. Churning out some great solo parts and sharp riffs. The Dirty Great had a unusual unity between them, rarely making mistakes and were really tight throughout their set. Each member of the band had their own unique ability to offer to the music. The singer who looked a bit like Max from Soulfly was acting completely mental, switching from blissful harmonies to intoxicated screams whilst throwing his body around the backend of the pub. Although their music was rather impressive, it was a little diverse for any of the crowd to fully enjoy themselves during The Dirty Great's set. For their first gig in Basingstoke, they gained an appreciative applause and great feedback.
