TROLLHAMMEREN!
The biggest crowd of the day yet are gathered to see Finntroll, the crowd wait in anticipation for the lights to dim. A few minutes later they do and a folksy/polka intro starts, which the crowd start jigging to! An amusing sight at the least.

The band takes to the stage looking like they're ready to tear the Birmingham Academy a new arsehole. The intro stops and immediately the band dive into a fast, furious set of Black/Polka metal.

This band have got the crowd eating out of the palms of their hands, for each song the crowd headbang furiously like there is no tomorrow. The only thing you notice is that Finntroll NEED their keyboard player to be loud so we can hear the wonderful Folk melodies they have to offer. Unfortunately the sound is terrible throughout Finntroll's set, the guitar has barely any sound to it at all and is just a blurred distortion and the keyboard is drowned out by the latter. But the crowd do not care about this and neither do I, Finntroll at the end of the day are a funny, talented band and they offer to the crowd something to have a dance and a mosh to. If Finntroll were promoted more in the UK they could finally have a big break, because there is NO band that sounds like this...
