Warm, fluffy but not very exciting
Ghosts are another in the long line of melodic indie bands with a grasp of how to make mainstream pop music. If you like Keane and the Feeling then this should be up your alley...and here's the problem.
They drew a healthy sized crowd, another ideal act to be playing a Radio 2 sponsored stage, and since their music is perfectly inoffensive, it's likely most people found this to be a pleasant if unremarkable experience.
Their debut single 'Stay The Night' has received plenty of radio play, and it's clear there's many more from album 'The World Is Outside' that will do the same. 'Stay The Night' will have been the highlight for much of the crowd, but for those wanting more than just background music for lying on the grass in the sun, this set would have started to get somewhat dull once the band's biggest song was played early on.
The album's title track also poked its head out of the same old same old box, but this wasn't a set to live long in the memory, especially when Jimmy Cliff had been on before hand whipping the crowd into a reggae fueled frenzy.
