According to figures from the Official Chart Company Robbie Williams has beaten Coldplay to being the biggest album seller this century so far in the UK.

Robbie has shifted 6.3 million albums since 2000, with Coldplay just behind with 6.2.

The figures, taken on 11 October this year, are based on sales of albums released since January 2000, although greatest hits, live albums and downloads are not included in the number crunching.

The top ten list also includes Oasis, Stereophonics and Eminem, with six of the list coming from the UK and Ireland, the other four, unsurprisingly are from the USA.
