This year's Oscar nominations have been announced with the forth-coming Johnny Cash biopic up for five awards.
'Walk The Line' missed out on the best film category, but both leading actors Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon are recognised for their performances.
The film's five nominations are:

Achievement in Costume Design
Achievement in Film Editing
Achievement in Sound Mixing

Describes the film by saying:
"The career of legendary country singer Johnny Cash is chronicled in this musical biography. Following a difficult early life, Cash establishes himself as a rising star in the country music world and falls in love with singer June Carter. Both are married, however, and Cash is struggling with serious personal difficulties."
The awards will be handed out on Sunday March 5th. 'Walk The Line' is out in UK cinemas this Friday, 3rd February.
