This week's big event has been the O2 Wireless Festival, now five days in London and two in Leeds.
Day 1 was headlined by The Strokes, who included a cover of Lou Reed's 'Walk on the Wildside' as part of the encore to their set. Meanwhile the Super Furry Animals played to a packed crowd as they headlined the X FM Stage. Others on that line-up included Milk Kan and the Young Knives.
Other day 1 highpoints included Belle and Sebastian, Raconteurs and Gogle Bordello on the Main Stage.
Day 2 had a more mainstream look to the top end of the schedule, with David Gray and KT Tunstall the star attractions. The latter debuting some new material before she heads into the studio next week to begin work on her second record.
On Day 3 Flaming Lips made the Strokes cover look very ordinary, as they blew the crowd away with their version of Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. This featured as part of a typically surreal performance that left Massive Attack with a hard act to follow as headliners.
Elsewhere on day 3 it was hard not to be amused by the mass migration away from the Main Stage once Gnarls Barkley had played 'Crazy'. Meanwhile Super Furry Animals roadblock job on the X FM tent on Wednesday night was nothing compared to DJ Shadow, those who stayed for the end of Flaming Lips didn't stand a chance of getting to see this one.
The news from Hyde Park is not all good though, as Les Incompetents were forced to pull their performance on the X FM Stage, with their lead singer recovering in intensive care.
Billy Bell was heading back home from the Barfly in Camden with his girlfriend on Thursday night, when a scuffle broke out. It is reported that he hit the pavement and cracked his head and there's a chance he may have fractured his skull.
