A positive news story concerning Axl Rose has come out today (Friday 11).

The Guns N' Roses singer made a surprise visit to the Teenage Cancer Trust Ward at the University College Hospital in London after his band's UK leg of their European tour came to an end last month.

According to Simon Davies the CEO of the Teenage Cancer Trust Ward: "Axl spent time speaking with each of the patients individually asking about their diagnosis and treatment, and what they enjoyed doing when they were not in hospital. Speaking with patients after Axl's visit, I got a real sense of just how excited they were to have met him and how much it lifted their spirits."

The Teenage Cancer Trust has a well-known connection with rock music, with The Who singer Roger Daltrey organizing an annual week of shows at the Royal Albert Hall to raise funds for the charity.
