Queen have beaten both The Beatles and Oasis in claiming the best selling album in the UK since chart records began.

The Official UK Charts Company have added up sales figures from over half a century, and Queen's 1981 'Greatest Hits' collection comes out on top.

The top 100 is to be revealed on VH1 this Saturday (18), but the likes of Bob Dylan and Rolling Stones will not be appearing.

The top ten is as follows:
