With the initial line-up now out for this year's Camden Crawl excitement is building in the capital for London's leading new music event.

This year Camden Crawl has grown to a two-day event and as part of this they will be presenting their own search for new talent.

As part of the daytime activities The Camden Crawl will be organising their very own Indie Idle competition in the hope they will find the band to open the 2008 event.

Unsigned artists are invited to send their demos for review by industry types with the best thirty demos being placed on the Camden Crawl website where the public will have their say. The ten demos that receive the most public votes will go through to the semi final held at The Camden Crawl itself.

The semi-final takes place at 1.00pm on Thursday April 19 at one of the Camden Crawl venues. The ten demos will be listened to and reviewed by a panel of music industry A&R execs in a public forum with the punters given the chance to vote for their favourite three acts to perform live at the final the following day. Each band involved in the final will play three songs each before the eventual winner is decided. The winner will later play a full thirty minute set. The band will also win a day in London's Miloco Recording Studios to help them put together a professional demo.

Details of how to enter the competition can be found at

Entries must be received by Friday March 16.
