Paul Hartnoll, formerly one half of dance pioneers Orbital, has announced two headline UK shows in support of his forthcoming debut solo album 'The
Ideal Condition'.

Hartnoll will perform at London's Roundhouse on Tuesday, September 4 and Manchester's Bridgewater Hall on Wednesday, September 5. In addition, Hartnoll will perform at three festivals across the summer, Big Chill, Electric Picnic and Connect.

These dates will be the first UK shows for Hartnoll since Orbital disbanded, a group regarded as innovators of live electronic music, delivering stunning, euphoric performances that stretched the possibilities of what a dance act was capable of live - both visually and sonically.

Hartnoll has been working on 'The Ideal Condition' in his Brighton studio since the summer of 2004 when Orbital disbanded shortly after their now legendary Glastonbury performance.

"I wanted to do something different from what I'd done before, that was the point of not doing Orbital. It just took time to discover exactly what that was."

The live dates in full are:

August:
Sun 5, Big Chill @ Eastnor Castle.
Fri 31, Electric Picnic County Laois, Ireland

September:
Sun 5, Connect Festival Inveraray Castle, Scotland.
Tue 4, London Camden Roundhouse.
Wed 5, Manchester Bridgewater Hall.
