The weather has caused chaos again for the Rock & Blues Cutom Bike Show, set to take place this weekend at Pentrich, near Ripley. Last year the event went ahead despite torrential rain in the preceding week but there were some major problems with the car park; with the weather this week proving equally bad there is some important news for anyone travelling by car, the following is a statement from the organisers:

Since yesterday we have managed to resolve some parking issues, provisions are now currently being found but they are very very LIMITED. However there are still no provisions to camp with your vehicle. It is strongly advised to get someone else to drop you off near to the event and collect you again afterwards. There are a fleet of coaches now allocated that will run from Ripley Town Centre market place up to Coney Grey Showground throughout the weekend. We apologise for any inconvenience but this whole situation is out of our control but the event goes on please come and stand defiant with us and please show us your support, don't let our famous British summertime spoil all our fun.

Please be advised not to bring to much camping equipment with you and if possible get a lift into Ripley Town Centre where we have coaches running from the Market Place to the Showground and back again we are trying very hard to resolve these parking issues on an hourly basis so please keep checking back for updates and please spread the word to anyone you know who may be affected with these restrictions.
