Band of the Week: This Is My Lawnmower

This Is My Lawnmower are a young Manchester band who aim to produce music that is both subtle and angular in equal measure.

Formed about a year ago, the band began as a 4-piece and played four gigs in that guise before the end of 2006. Having since recruited specialist bass player Jonathan Hamilton in January 2007, the band's plaudits include playing at prestigious Manchester venues such as Academy 3 and Club Academy, playing a session for MUTV and supporting local heroes I Am Kloot.
