U2 are asking fans to be careful about adverts for gigs that are not confirmed.
One ticket website is claiming that the band are set to play a 14 night run at the 02 Arena in London (similar to the one Prince played this year).
But a statemnt from U2 via U2.com, says:
"There are no plans for live dates next year, so please don't buy tickets for any U2 shows you see advertised."
U2 are currently working on a new album, expected to be released sometime in 2008.
