This week our R13 Myspace Band of the Week is Spectrum 7. The young Surrey quartet have only been in existence since early 2006 but have used their time wisely, building a solid live following in their local area along with support slots for Enter Shikari and Help She Can't Swim.
Citing their influences as "pretty much all the good rock and dance acts of the last 15 years", the band's sound is a catchy hybrid of dance-floor beats and overdriven guitars, a sound that has become increasingly popular in recent times. However, there is nothing run-of-the-mill here, as the lads stamp their own design on the tried and trusted imprint.
With their debut EP release imminent, 2008 is looking set to be an interesting, and most likely successful, year for the band. Read our Myspace blog here to find out more.
