We’ve all made promises we may live to regret, and emphasis the unlikelyhood of events happening by guaranteeing we’ll do things we wouldn’t otherwise consider.
In the case of Dr. Pepper, just one such hasty pledge is coming back to haunt them.
The makers of the soft drink said if Guns N’ Roses released a new album in 2008, every one in America would get a free can of the drink. So come November, as a spokesperson for Dr. Pepper explained to MTV.com: “People will go on Dr Pepper’s web site and we will send them a coupon for a free one. It’s going to be real easy.”
