To describe 65 days of static is not an easy task. Indeed, most who have tried
can merely hint at the depths these 4 guys reach with their wide-open sounds,
melding seamless guitar shapes with ferocious drum ‘n' bass styled beats, live drums and c-c-c-computer g-g-g-g-glitch. A soundtrack to a new dimension, where rock, dance and electronica are equals.

2003 proved a truly outstanding year for 65DOS. With the release of 65’s
debut release ‘stumble.stop.repeat’ limited to 1000, released on the
incorruptible Dustpunk Records (a tiny DIY indie born from the annual dustpunk nites in Sheffield, events spearheaded by 65dos) has sold out pretty much everywhere. The E.P earned them acclaim from far and wide, with radio support from the likes of Steve Lamacq ['A big, Brooding piece of work'] and John Peel [‘Rather Excellent’].Radio1’s One World mixed in the bands soundtrack to the spoken sounds of Roddy Womble Idlewild) and Roots Manuva, and they had continued airplay in countries from Australia to Portugal, Spain and Croatia!?! As well as a string of
positive reviews and accolades from, among others Mogwai, who wrote to the band to tell them how much they liked their music.

2004 has been an even better year. The band were to release 'The Fall of
Math' as an E.P. earlier in the year, but we're approached by Monotreme to release a full length album, at the delight of the band, who had a rucksack full of new songs just waiting to be recorded. This became the September release.

To describe a 65daysofstatic live show is an even harder task. Viciously
euphoric, frenetic, overwhelming, bordering on chaos and really, really loud, is about as good an explanation as you’re likely to get. It’s what the band thrive on. Since the end of August the band have been constantly touring which gave the band a chance to show off their incendiary live performance with their own shows, and later a full UK tour with Youth Movie Soundtrack Strategies and then Peace Burial at Sea, bringing them an army of new admirers. 65 continue to move forward with dates until the end of the year.
