The summer of sport is in full flow with some sporting event going on in London. While most of the media is going sport mad at the moment, we here at R13 are making sure the music world is not forgotten amongst the hype. This includes introducing our Band of the Month for August, Always The Quiet Ones.

Bio:
Always The Quiet Ones are an alt. rock band formed in Liverpool, England. Born in the later part of 2010, the enterprising quintet began a series of frenetic live shows by opening for Deaf Havana and before long were supporting the likes of The Safety Fire, Mojo Fury, The James Cleaver Quintet, Axis Of and many more, quickly garnering strong praise and notoriety from fans and many sectors of the underground press for their unique brand of off-kilter alt-rock. The band has since received extensive airplay on Kerrang! (Alex Baker), XFM (Ian Camfield), Q Radio (Pete Bailey), Total Rock and coverage in the likes of Kerrang! (Katie Parsons), Big Cheese Magazine, Rock Sound and Powerplay. Debut single/video Freak Show entered at no. 12 on PS3 Vidzone's "Rockzone" chart and later featured on the "Ones To Watch 2012" playlist. With the recent release of the Drought/Ghost in the Filament double A-side (April 2012), the months ahead are full of promise for the aspiring five. Follow the band at www.alwaysthequietones.com
