Tiny Engines, has announced that it has joined No Idea Records as part of the Gainesville label's exclusive distribution arm which also includes Don Giovanni, Asian Man, Dirtnap, Salinas, Recess, It's Alive, Poison City, and 1234Go! Carolina based independent label Tiny Engines was founded in 2008 and has released records from Tigers Jaw, Restorations, Dikembe, Look Mexico, Run Forever, Signals Midwest, State Lines amongst others and has strong DIY ethics.

It's interesting to note that this has happened since the hike in US postal rates this January and while this is no doubt a solid move for Tiny Engines one wonders whether overseas sales for small labels are suffering across the board and if it will mean many other small labels will look to go the same way for distribution in the future.

Tiny Engines says: "When it came down to looking for better distribution for our label and bands, there was only one place where we felt it would be an absolutely perfect fit for everyone, and that was No Idea. Their ideals and the way they do business and treat others is exactly in line with the standards to which we hold of ourselves at Tiny Engines. To not only join No Idea, but other exclusive labels such as Asian Man, Don Giovanni and Poison City ... it has us extremely excited, to say the least. Our records will now be available worldwide at a low cost from some of the best DIY / punk distributors and independent stores out there. We are humbled that No Idea has invited us to join its tight-knit family and we can't wait to start working together to keep Tiny Engines and its bands thriving for the foreseeable future."
