A belated Happy New Year to you all. For our first Band of the Month for 2014 we head over to a place a little colder than home, although guessing not as wet, to introduce Swedish band The Exploding Boy.

Bio:
The Exploding Boy was started by in January 2006 by Johan Sjoblom (Prune, Fake Moss) and Lars "Les" Andersson (Kodji, Run Level Zero).
New member was added (Stefan Axell on Guitar, Nick Isgren on Keyboards, Mario Gonzales on Bass and Tord Karlsson on Drums (the two later is not in the band today) and the first rehearsal as a full band was done on the 5th of April the same year.
In September of 2006 the band went into Big Island Studios (most famous for their work with German band Rammstein and Swedish acts like Mustasch and Covenant) together with producer and technician Tom Van Heesch.
On the bands one year anniversary of their first rehearsal they released their self-titled debut album.

In springtime 2008 The Exploding Boy are now releasing their first album in selected European territories through a distribution deal with Rough Trade.
In the turn of September the new single 40 Days was available for download at all major digital shops around the world, including iTunes.

In March 2009, new single London was released as a digital download and was called "the new gothic anthem" among other.
The Exploding Boy went on their second international trip. The tour included a spot in Felsenkeller at Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig - the biggest goth/indie festival in Europe.
Later in 2009 The new album Afterglow is released with new single Heart of Glass released as a digital download.
Afterglow Club EP is made exclusively for the German DJ's. It contained the 3 singles of the Afterglow album plus the album opening track The Right Spot. The EP reached the top ten of the German Alternative Charts (DAC).
In 2011 the first single Human taken form the upcoming album, The Black Album, was released as a digital download. The Black Album saw the day of light in May of that year.
Single Here Comes The Rain also taken from The Black Album is released in the first week of May 2012.
2013 started with a blast, a new year's eve show in New York. Signed with a great German label, Drakkar/Sony. Most of the year spending finishing the fourth album Four, which was released in Europe and the US.

Not sure. People say so many different things, so it must be we have a style of our own. New fresh music with old feelings. Great songs!
