Coming Alive Again
It’s been six years since Rancid’s last album but now the punk quartet are back with new album ‘Let The Dominoes Fall’ out this month. With a new album of course comes a new single, ‘Last One To Die’, a succulent chunk of good old fashioned punk that goes straight to the point whilst packing some hard hitting punches. Succinct, infectious and with a melodic undercurrent that is impossible to ignore, ‘Last One To Die’ blazes and crashes with intent, easing off the accelerator only to allow the entrance of gruff vocals, the kind that sound like they’ve just downed a case load of Jack Daniels before smoking the entire national product of Cuba; full of life, full of tales to tell and bursting with charm. Throw in a chorus of catchy chants that pound with energy and suddenly the years melt away; the last six years seem but a distant memory as you happily welcome Rancid back, ready to hit the play button once more as ‘Last One To Die’ comes alive again.
