On the back of last years well received debut album, Guitararama’, Mr Petit is back, and this is the lead single off of his second album, ‘The Crave’ that is scheduled for a September release.

‘As The Years Go Passing By’ is a reworked cover of the 1967 song by Albert King. It’s a got a clean production and the sound whilst still being Blues/Rock has added strings refusing to make the sound dated. The arrangements were done by Chris Elliot (Mark Ronson/Amy Whinehouse), and remixed by Ian Grimble (Travis The Clash, Red Hot Chillis, Manic Street Preachers), so this would also prove to be a good choice. Stephen Dale Petite has a strong voice that could lend itself to many genres but the Blues/Rock of his choice is nice and fresh, giving more life to a genre that many see as living in the past. The guitar playing is inspiring, making this a great single indeed.

Having been touring around the country with ex-Rolling Stone Mick Taylor, and appeared on BBC Radio 2’s Paul Jones Show, the single and the album that follows are sure to bring even more success to this Bluesman. Good stuff.
