Razor -Sharp Music

Contemporarily akin to The Futureheads; Good Shoes are the latest band to build upon The Buzzcocks spiky, short pop formula that creates the perfect alternative soundtrack to everyday life.

Jangling guitars mix with hammered out drumbeats before short, sharp vocals pierce through on 'We Are Not The Same'. An adrenalin fuelled burst of energy, 'We Are Not The Same' is held together effortlessly by chanting group vocals that provide a gang-like youthful exuberance to a track that was tailor made to be the accompaniment for teenage romance gone awry. Insightfully realistic without exuding an ounce of sentimentality, Good Shoes have fashioned the love song for today's teenage boy. Stabbing guitars and jerky vocals reign throughout for Good Shoes. Maintaining a masculine camaraderie and stiff upper lip for which ever topic their music may tackle; whether it be disgustingly berating public transport on 'Things To Make And Do' or licking their wounds at the prospect of being laughed at for their dancing abilities, or lack there of, on 'May Lannoye', Good Shoes combine matter of fact, everyday lyrics with erratic vocals and abrupt razor-sharp music.
