Bit Of Everything

Disguising a punk rock attitude beneath a pop playfulness, 'Save Me Sinner' demonstrates why They Drove Me To It are a band not to be mindlessly overlooked. With vocals that convey a sultry air of mystery sprinkled with attitude and laced with melodic harmonies, 'Save Me Sinner' exudes a Blondie-esque vibe that craves attention.

As part of a double A side single release, 'Save Me Sinner/Bulletproof' is a tale of two halves as the prickling indie rock friskiness of 'Save Me Sinner' gives way to 'Bulletproof's emotionally charged ballad form. Gone is the punk rock approach and in its place comes gently passionate vocals, equipped with a soft rhythm section that escalates when required but still manages to fade away in order to accentuate the vocal detail.

From their punk pop to their heartfelt ballad, TDMTI certainly like to go to the extremes, although on this particular occasion emotionally charged lost out to TDMTI's punk attitude. With such extremities on a single release, things should definitely be interesting when their album is released in July.
