Jaunty Slice Of Indie Cheer

There must be something in the water north of the border, something pretty damn good that is helping to churn out one indie rock group after another, what's more they have all come bearing catchy rock tracks to boot. From Franz Ferdinand to more recently The Fratellis, Scotland is steadily becoming a breeding ground for the next indie rock act to emerge from and now to add to the list comes The Ideal Panic, a band only formed this year and already releasing their debut single.

'I See Too Much Of Myself In You' has indie anthem tattoo across it. Jangling guitars steer the track along gloriously as a funk tinged bass line pierces the surface and superb melodies swirl around teasingly. Throw in some uplifting vocal harmonies and The Ideal Panic have crafted the indie sing along as some staggered echoes of "I see" harmonise perfectly to form an anthemic indie chorus. But they're not finished with us yet. Cutting the music dead all except for a steady drum beat, the Glasgow five piece confront us with a wall of layered vocal harmonies that add further to the sing along pull of the track and is sure to be a crowd favourite that will lead to much audience participation. Wonderfully vibrant, 'I See Too Much Of Myself In You' is a jaunty slice of indie cheer.
