Madding Crowd- Modern Man

Right- this is possibly the worst song I have heard in my life. ENTIRE life. I'm not entirely sure how to describe how little I took from it, and I'm wondering if a review is even feasible?

Modern Man is the opening track taken from forthcoming album 'Finding the I', which the band openly admit to being about their non-existent 5th band member Billy?! Oh my goodness. The extent of what we are really dealing with here cannot be fully explained. Sex Pistols without the edge, the punk beat or the rhythm - so maybe I'll take that back, not like the Sex Pistols at all. In fact not like anything I have ever heard before (thankfully). Lead vocalist Mark lacks the ability to hold or find a note, and I honestly believe he thinks he is the next Paul Wellar, or some other 70's icon. The under production doesn't do them any favours; the amateur, rough sound hasn't worked this time round.

"Life is just a motorway, an endless roundabout" is as far as the band go to describe Billy's thoughts regarding claustrophobic city life. Trust me it gets worse. Classics like "I'm working for the man" and "He's just a man in a bubble" lead you to believe they really are taking the piss. Surely?

Note to self - never take a Madding Crowd CD off anybodies hands regardless of the traumatic depressant state the band have sent them into. Wait a minute, is that too harsh? I could find a positive note yet I don't think there is really enough hours in the day and I can't really blame the band. I blame Billy.
