Give In To Temptation

Forget your hidden meanings and obscure titles, sometimes its refreshing to get a song that does just what it says on the tin. 'Happy Hour' is simply about those sixty minutes in the pub and the events that unfold all set to a breezily chirpy beat that skips along merrily awash with a tidal wave of eccentrically and sugary sweet vocals. Scratch the surface and 'Happy Hour' has a bit of a cynical and dark message swirling beneath its merry exterior as you discover sanctuary is being found at the happy hour form a failing relationship but somehow you gloss over that as the ludicrous joy of the song whirls past.

Strangely mesmerising, 'Happy Hour' is horribly kitsch and cheesy with the ability of making The Feeling look like Oasis and whilst every creditable bone in your body screams at you to say no the guilty pleasure radar pulls you deeper under the control of the unrelenting hypnotism of Palladium. File under guilty pleasure and enjoy only when you're sure no one else can hear.
